12 points to Italy – I think you should send this to Kylie

10 points to Germany – reminds me of Kraftwerk

8 points to Sweden – very Europop

7 points to Greece – can clearly hear the Greek Cypriot influence here

6 points to Spain – though really I think you should all get 12 points because they are brilliant – well done everyone!

Thank you for a second helping of Eurovision…all songs much beter than Sweden’s winner from a week or so ago! :)

Here are the points from Ireland this evening (here with work)

6 Points: Spain…Great start with the hand clap and the oh oh bit….too sad for me though :)

7 points: Italy…bound to playing across Italian Lido’s all summer long

    8 points: Greece…Hellassss I like it!!!

10 Points: Sweden…lovely Nordic pop feel…almost like Aqua

12 Points: GERMANY!!! Loving the Kraftwerkesque vibe that you have going on there :)

Having had a preview of the instrumentals already it was great to hear how they would become songs.

My 12 points goes to Sweden as I like how the lyrics and vocals go with the catchy riff. It reminds me of a band from the 1980s called Propaganda that featured people from different countries. I also liked the break down with the male voice.

10 points to Greece, I like the blend of traditional Greek instrument sounds with modern beats and riffs. The lyrics were also good as they reflect the turmoil the country is in at the moment. With the Scottish accents the song reminds me of two Edinburgh bands The Lanterns and FiniTribe.

8 points to Germany, it sounds like a proper German synth band like Kraftwerk who also liked to repeat lyrics in this way. The beats and synths also remind me of Edinburgh’s FiniTribe too. They used to sample cartoons and sound effects to help them make their music.

7 points to Spain, the choice of Guitar is perfect and the whole song has a nice laid back vibe, very summery.

6 points to Italy, another great track that uses club sounds like many of the beach resorts in Italy, a country famous for its piano house and disco music. Very well chosen instruments and confidently performed vocals. You made it a very hard choice to split up the marks

Well done to everyone, glad none of you needed the iPad app that auto tunes your vocals

    :-)

    6 points go to Sweden.
    7 points…to Italy! Congratulations.
    And 8 points to Greece.
    10 points rewarded to..the Germans!
Which means 12 points to Spain!
    Well done everyone!
(The only reason Sweden got 6 is because they’ve done enough Eurovision winning for one year.)
